GENA 2009 Lesson Plan: Zebrafish and the Value of Model Systems

Description

We developed a one-week module using zebrafish to give high school biology students a
hands-on opportunity to explore Mendelian genetics while gaining an appreciation for
developmental biology (a subject not often taught in the high school classroom). Our
module began with two lessons aimed at introducing model organisms and
developmental biology.
